Encompass Fit is a small, invite-only fitness app run by one person for friends and family. This page says what it keeps, who else sees any of it, and how to take it with you or delete it.
What the app keeps
- Your account: your Google account id, email address and name, from signing in with Google. No password is kept.
- What you log: food, workouts, measurements, goals, plans, and your household's shared foods and recipes.
- What you connect: if you connect Strava, your activities from it, and an encrypted key that lets the app fetch them.
- Sign-in records: when you signed in, from which device, and security events such as invites used, to keep accounts safe.
Your data is used to run the app for you. It is never sold and never used for advertising.
Who else sees part of it
| Cloudflare | Carries every page to you (the connection and the site's address), and stores the encrypted nightly backups. |
|---|---|
| OVH | Hosts the server and its database. |
| Signing in: your Google account id, email and name. | |
| Sentry | Error reports and page timings, under a code instead of your name; never what you log. |
| PostHog | Which pages and buttons get used, only if you allow it; never what you log. |
| Anthropic | A meal photo or routine you send to the AI features, only if you allow it. |
| Strava | Only when you connect it, to bring your activities in. |
| OpenStreetMap, Open-Meteo | An activity's starting point, to name the place and find the weather. |
| USDA, Open Food Facts | Food searches and barcodes the app's own food catalog doesn't have. |
The person who runs the app sees food searches and barcodes that found nothing, so those foods can be added, and can reach the database to keep the app running.
Your choices
Nothing is sent to an AI model or counted in usage analytics unless you turn it on. You're asked once when you first sign in, and you can change either at any time in Settings, Privacy.
Your data, and deleting it
In Settings, Privacy you can download everything that is yours as a file, and delete your account. Deleting removes all of it, signs you out everywhere and disconnects Strava. Encrypted backups that still hold it are gone within 30 days, and restoring one deletes your account again.
Security
The app is reached only over an encrypted connection. Connection keys are stored encrypted, backups are encrypted before they leave the server, and sign-in sessions expire.
Changes and questions
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. For questions or requests, contact the person who invited you.
